Those students who choose to receive their Lomi Massage training with Penny Prior in Hawaii are fortunate to be taught on sacred Hawaiian land on the island of Kauai. This outdoor training is held in a botanical garden alongside a river and nearby one of Kauai’s most beautiful beaches. A special opportunity to be living in nature and deeply connecting with self and an extended nurturing family.

This transformational bodywork originates from a rite of passage ceremony that emerged from the ancient healing practices of Hawai'i and Polynesia. This sacred work is utilized both for healing and invoking deep personal transformation. Lomi literally means to massage; to separate, smooth and put back together. We are learning to Lomi ourselves and life on all levels, essentially from our center, our Na'au, our instinct and our hearts.

Penny Prior has been involved with the healing arts for over 30 years. She specializes in Hawaiian Bodywork Lomi) that was introduced to her by a Hawaiian Master teacher Kahu Abraham Kawai'i in 1987.  She studied with Kahu a number of years and learned a new way of life that inspired her to move permanently to Kaua'i in 1990.  She began teaching on her own and also continued to study the Hawaiian culture and healing practices.
In 1992, Penny met a Hawaiian cultural and hula master, Kumu Hula Roselle Keli'ihonipua Bailey and joined her hula halau (school) and is still actively involved today in dancing with the halau and continuing to learn.  She loves to sing and play ukulele
Penny's background also includes:
